Group Director, Event Production (IVH) - Olympic & Paralympic Games

Role Overview Group Director, Event Production – In‑Venue Hospitality (IVH) for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Collaborate with the Sr. Director, Event Production to ensure hospitality experiences meet brand, quality, operational and financial standards. Build, lead, and manage hospitality delivery teams and negotiate contracts with vendors. Update Sr. Director on day‑to‑day progress and challenges; request input for key decisions. Partner with the commercial product architecture team to define service levels and manage budget per venue based on sport, demand, sessions and sales. Coordinate with all functional areas that impact Event Production hospitality delivery (Food & Beverage, Art & Design, Entertainment, Overlay, Workforce, Accreditation, Logistics, Gifting, etc.). Represent as ambassador of the hospitality unit in the LA28 venue department. Manage overall project milestones, timelines, P&L and track expenditures. Manage suppliers and vendors and promote the use of sustainable products when available. Attend meetings (virtual or in‑person) and report on behalf of the Event Production team. Serve as the main on‑site point of contact for the Event Production Team. Develop operational planning for On Location guest experience at competition venues. Update and maintain operational tools and lead production meetings. Forecast, qualify and maintain budget; support invoice processing, expense reconciliation and documentation. Prepare presentations, reports, internal communications and maintain dashboards. Interview, hire, train, appraise and discipline employees and resolve issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, sports, event management or related field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience managing or producing events and/or brand activations and/or event teams, especially in stadium and temporary structure environments. Track record of creating commercially viable experiences at large scale. Prior experience with large‑scale sports events (preferred). Fluent in business English, written and spoken. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with SharePoint, Smartsheets, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Airtable. Highly organized, process‑oriented and able to multi‑task, remain calm under pressure, and work in a dynamic environment. Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, conflict‑resolution and creative thinking skills, with a guest‑centric focus. Self‑motivated, resourceful and capable of working with minimal supervision. Good time‑keeping, work ethic and willingness to travel and work long days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required. Presently resides or willing to relocate to Los Angeles, California. Compensation & Benefits Annual salary range: $112,500 – $150,000 (excluding state/local minimum salary requirements). Includes base rate plus applicable short‑ and long‑term incentives, growth and development opportunities, as well as robust benefits such as health care, retirement, vacation and paid time off.
