Job Description As Associate, Real Estate Transactions & Leasing, responsibilities include: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial lease agreements, purchase agreements, and other real estate-related contracts. Provide legal advice to clients on real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing. Conduct due diligence, including title and survey reviews, to identify potential risks and recommend solutions. Collaborate with clients to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations. Manage and oversee closings for real estate transactions. Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments affecting real estate and leasing practices. Work with and support the Transactions & Leasing Group Partner with complex real estate matters. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all legal matters handled. The Successful Applicant The successful Associate, Real Estate Transactions & Leasing should have: A Juris Doctor degree from a US accredited law school. Admitted to the New York bar. At least 4 years experience handling varied commercial real estate matters e.g. transactions, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, real estate developments, condominium and cooperative formations and buy-sell, construction/ design contracts, corporate governance, mortgage and mezzanine financing. Exceptional client ethos and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently What's on Offer Base salary of $200,000 - $250,000, depending on experience with additional discretionary and performance bonuses. Annual billable hour target set at a manageable 1700 hours, excellent work-life-balance. Unlimited PTO + 11 firm-wide holiday days. Hybrid, flexible work arrangement (3 days a week in office in Dumbo, Brooklyn).
