Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize inventory.
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers to expand the vendor base and ensure a reliable supply chain.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define material specifications and ensure product quality.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions and mitigate risks.
• Manage inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring timely availability of materials for production.
• Resolve supplier disputes and non-conformance issues to maintain positive vendor relationships and supply continuity.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven negotiation skills and experience with supplier relationship management.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
• Experience with global sourcing and managing international suppliers.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex)
• APICS CSCP or CPIM certification
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices
• Project management experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
