Reservoir Engineer

Our client is a well-established, entrepreneurial minerals and non-operated investment company that has built an impressive track record over the past decade. With more than $500+ million of acquisitions and divestitures completed, the company is one of the most active mineral acquisition platforms in the industry, evaluating opportunities across the major U.S. oil and gas basins.

Unlike traditional operator roles where engineers may evaluate only a handful of opportunities each year, you'll be part of an organization that closes multiple acquisitions every week, providing unmatched exposure to deal evaluation, asset valuation, and investment decisions across multiple basins.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate upstream oil and gas assets for acquisition opportunities


• Perform PDP reserve evaluations and asset valuations


• Develop type curves and basin-wide technical studies


• Build economic evaluations supporting active transactions


• Provide technical due diligence for acquisitions


• Analyze opportunities across multiple producing basins


• Partner closely with acquisitions and investment teams on deal execution


Qualifications

• 3+ years of reservoir engineering experience


• Experience evaluating upstream oil and gas assets


• Multi-basin experience required


• Strong preference for Permian/Delaware Basin experience


• Experience with reserves, economics, and asset valuation


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, transaction-oriented environment


Experience from minerals, non-operated companies, upstream operators, or A&D teams will all be considered.


Compensation
Base salary: $150,000-$200,000
Target bonus: 25-40%
