• Hours per Week: 36-40 (4 days one week, 3 days the next)
• Employment Type: Contract (W-2)
• Licensure/Certs: Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS (NRP preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years PICU experience, cross-trained in Med/Surg or Adult ICU preferred

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality pediatric ICU care for diverse patient conditions, including DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and post-surgical recovery
• Manage complex medication titrations, including sedation, pressors, insulin, and heparin drips
• Perform peripheral blood draws and central line access as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, hospitalists, and intensivists, available 24/7
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Adapt to float across units (PICU, Adult ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele) based on skillset and unit needs
• Follow unit policies and protocols for patient safety and quality care

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure transfer
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (NRP preferred)
• At least 2 years of PICU experience
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to start
• Strong skills in PIV, CVL, telemetry, wound care, drains, and wound vacs

• Cross-trained in adult ICU or Med/Surg
• Experience with titrating pressors, insulin, sedation, and pain meds
• Ability to float between specialties and units confidently
