About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in high acuity hospital setting; strong Pediatric ICU experience with at least 1 year of CV experience required. License: State RN license or compact RN license required. Certifications: AHA BLS and PALS required. Must-Have: - Epic experience required. - Strong pediatric ICU experience and CV experience required. - Ability to pass telemetry test prior to starting. Description: Provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families. Work in a multidisciplinary team environment. Care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical problems including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, and multi-system organ failure. Manage complex medical situations while ensuring a comforting environment for patients and families. Demonstrate skills in care of ventilated patients, arterial line management, and central venous pressure monitoring. Perform pediatric dosage calculations and participate in rapid response teams. Handle advanced equipment such as CRRT, ECMO, and other technologies essential for pediatric critical care. Maintain evidence-based practice and adhere to infection control policies. Stay current with advancements in pediatric nursing and participate in continued education opportunities. Be prepared to float as needed to different units as required by the healthcare facility.
