A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.Position SummaryWe are on an exciting journey to improve the quality, consistency, and accessibility of our data to enable timely, informed decision‑making across Securities & Markets. To support this effort, we are seeking a senior business leader with deep Securities & Markets domain expertise and a strong understanding of front‑to‑back trading and post‑trade operations.The ideal candidate brings significant hands‑on knowledge of how securities and markets products are structured, traded, booked, risk‑managed, and serviced across their lifecycle. This role is well‑suited for a seasoned Securities & Markets professional who understands trading, sales, operations, risk, and control processes—and who is motivated to improve the quality and usability of the data that underpins those activities.This is not a technical or analytics role. The Director will act as a senior business subject matter expert and data steward, partnering closely with front office, operations, risk, and control teams to improve the clarity, controls, and reliability of Securities & Markets data.This role is expected to serve as a team lead or people manager for a team of 3–7 individuals, providing direction, prioritization, and mentorship.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the business steward and point of accountability for critical data elements across the Securities & Markets domain (e.g., instruments, trades, positions, counterparties, pricing, valuations, exposures, lifecycle events)Define and maintain clear business definitions, usage standards, and ownership for Securities & Markets dataEnsure data accurately reflects the true business intent, product structures, and operating realities of Securities & Markets activitiesIdentify where process gaps, manual workarounds, or inconsistent practices contribute to data quality or control issuesPartner with front office, operations, risk, and control teams to improve upstream processes that generate or modify Securities & Markets dataHelp prioritize and resolve data issues that impact reporting, client experience, risk management, financial control, or regulatory obligationsTranslate complex business processes and requirements into clear, actionable guidance for downstream consumers of Securities & Markets dataRepresent the Securities & Markets business in data governance forums, working groups, and control discussionsOversee and support data quality monitoring, root‑cause analysis, and issue remediation effortsImprove transparency, trust, and confidence in how Securities & Markets data is sourced, defined, governed, and used across the organizationProvide people leadership, including setting direction, managing priorities, developing talent, and fostering strong partnerships across teamsQualifications7+ years of experience (highly preferred) in Securities & Markets, such as trading, sales, middle office, operations, product control, risk management, or markets‑related control functionsStrong, hands‑on understanding of the end‑to‑end Securities & Markets lifecycle, including trade capture, lifecycle events, valuations, settlement, and reportingAbility to explain complex markets concepts clearly to both business and non‑business audiencesProven ability to collaborate, influence, and drive change across front‑to‑back stakeholdersExcellent communication, judgment, and stakeholder management skillsStrong attention to detail paired with a high sense of accountability and ownershipPreferred SkillsExposure to data quality, control environments, or process improvement initiatives (formal or informal)Comfort operating in highly regulated, risk‑sensitive environmentsExperience driving improvements without direct authority, through partnership and influenceCuriosity and passion for improving how business data is created, governed, and consumedPrior team leadership or people management experienceWhat This Role Is NotNot a data engineering, analytics, or technical roleNo coding, modeling, or system development responsibilitiesNo requirement for formal data management or data architecture experienceFocused on business ownership, clarity, and accountability, not technology deliveryThe typical base pay range for this role is between $175k-$222k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
