Your future role at a glance Location: Pensacola, FL Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola Hospital Department: Pastoral Care Spiritual Care Schedule: Rotating | Full-time How you'll make an impact in this role Provide compassionate religious and spiritual counsel to patients, families, and associates, addressing emotional and spiritual distress with respect for all cultures and traditions. Cultivate deep spiritual and religious connections through consistent visitation and communication, serving as a pillar of support for patients and their families. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure the seamless integration of holistic spiritual care into the patient's overall treatment and wellness plan. Develop future spiritual care professionals by actively mentoring Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) students and fellows. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Board Certification from the APC, NACC, CASC, or NAJC (or certification obtained within 2 years of hire, risking termination if not obtained within timeframe) is required. Education: Master s Degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited school is required. 3 units of CPE accredited by the ACPE is required only if not board-certified. 4 units of accredited CPE are preferred. Work Experience: 3-5 years of healthcare experience as a chaplain is preferred.
