Job Description

Water Mitigation Technician

Join a Team That Feels Like Family — and Expects Excellence

At The Allay Group , we don’t just fix buildings — we help families recover from some of the worst days of their lives. Since 2015, we’ve proudly served the Treasure Valley as a trusted, full-service disaster recovery contractor and a preferred vendor for over 150 insurance carriers .

We are a local, family-owned company built on trust, accountability, and teamwork. Here, you’re not a number and you’re not micromanaged — but you are expected to show up, work hard, and take pride in what you do.

If you want a job where effort is noticed, growth is real, and excuses don’t fly, Allay may be the right place for you .

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Water Mitigation Technician who is dependable, motivated, and ready to learn the restoration trade the right way.

This is a hands-on, physically active role responding to water, fire, and emergency losses. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians and project managers, learning professional mitigation techniques, industry standards, and how to serve homeowners with care and confidence.

We will train the right person. What we won’t do is babysit, chase people down, or tolerate poor attitudes.

What You’ll Do:

• Respond to emergency water, fire, and board-up calls (on-call rotation required).
• Inspect losses, extract water, set up drying systems, and perform demolition as needed.
• Monitor equipment and document progress with photos, readings, and job notes.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, adjusters, and team members.
• Follow IICRC standards, safety protocols, and company procedures.
• Take ownership of your work from start to finish.

No two days are the same — but every day requires effort, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Who This Role Is Not For:

This position is not a good fit if you:

• Struggle with punctuality or accountability.
• Need constant supervision to stay productive.
• Avoid physical work or uncomfortable environments.
• Have a negative attitude or blame others when things get tough.

We work hard, move fast, and rely on each other.

Who Will Succeed Here:

• Someone who shows up on time, ready to work.
• A team player who takes pride in doing things right.
• Someone who wants a career , not just a paycheck.
• A person who can be trusted to represent our company in customers’ homes.

Your Future at The Allay Group:

We promote from within and invest in people who prove themselves.

Career Path Opportunities:
Technician → Lead Technician → Estimator → Project Manager

We provide training, certifications, mentoring, and real advancement — but you earn it .

What You Bring:

• 1–3 years of experience in mitigation, construction, or hands-on trades (preferred, not required).
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Availability for flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT) are a plus — we will help you earn them.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $15–$22/hour DOE.

• 100% Company-Paid:

  • Vision & Dental Insurance.
  • Industry certifications and continuing education.
• Simple IRA with company match.
• Company vehicle (during work hours).
• Tools, iPad, and phone provided.
• Paid Time Off.
• Year-round local work — home every night.
• A professional, family-like culture where effort is noticed and rewarded.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

All candidates must pass:

• Background and reference checks.
• Drug screening.
• Driving record review (No major violations or DUIs within the past 5 years).
