We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join a manufacturing organization in the upstate. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations with a strong focus on bank reconciliations, G/L, month-end activities. The position also contributes to site-level finance projects. This role is slated to last at least 6 months with potential for permanent hire.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure the accuracy of cash balances and financial records.

• Assist with month-end close tasks, journal-related support, and other general accounting work as assigned.

• Contribute to ERP related assignments and support accounting process activities connected to system usage at the site.

• Maintain adherence to internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards while completing daily and project-based work.

• Other tasks as needed from Controller

Additional Information:

•40 hours per week Monday-Friday

•Business Casual attire

• At least 3 years of accounting experience with hands-on responsibility in accounts receivable and general ledger support.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze data, organize reports, and reconcile transactions efficiently.

• Experience working with ERP systems

• Understanding of bank reconciliations, month-end processes, and financial documentation best practices.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to research discrepancies, trace issues to root cause, and follow through on resolution.

• Adaptable, quick to learn, and comfortable taking direction while supporting changing priorities and special projects
