Location: Austin, TX

Shift: 1st, 2 nd and 3rd

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused AI Safety Operator Driver to support technology in real-world ride-sharing scenarios. This role centers on safe vehicle operation, monitoring autonomous systems, engaging with riders, and providing detailed feedback to improve system performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate engineering vehicles equipped with FSD (Supervised), taking control when needed to ensure passenger and public safety.
Professionally interact with riders, including greetings, answering questions, and supporting route adjustments.
Navigate construction zones, pedestrian-heavy areas, and complex traffic conditions while monitoring system behavior.
Complete pre-shift readiness checks (software, sensors, vehicle cleanliness).
Maintain exemplary driving behavior and situational awareness at all times.
Travel domestically as required to support testing in various environments and weather conditions.
Provide insights and feedback to help improve safety processes, data collection, and system performance.
Produce detailed daily reports documenting observations, issues, and system behavior.

Requirements.

Valid driver’s license.
Strong hazard recognition and situational awareness.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Tech-savvy with strong PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office and data tools.
Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends (15% differential applies).
Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
Ability to meet safety-sensitive role requirements, including drug testing.
