Luxury AV Field Technician — Growth & Mentorship

Modern Life Technical Solutions is a boutique low-voltage integration firm specializing in ultra-high-end luxury residential and commercial environments — estates, private home theaters, and professional recording and post-production facilities. We design, install, program, and support complex networks, smart home and AV systems for clients who demand precision and expect things done right the first time. POSITIONS AVAILABLE

We are hiring across two experience levels: Entry-Level Field Technician (3+ years verifiable field experience required) Field Technician / Senior Installer

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Structured Cabling & Rough-In Install all low-voltage cabling (Cat6/6A, coax, speaker wire, fiber) in new and existing structures Maintain clean, organized, and fully labeled cable runs meeting luxury-grade standards Trim, Termination & Finish Terminate cables; install jacks, wall plates, rack infrastructure, and patch panels Produce accurate as-built documentation and labeling for every system Rack, mount, and configure audio/video components, displays, amplifiers, and distributed AV systems Install AV-over-IP infrastructure (Crestron NVX/NAX and similar platforms) Home theaters, multi-room audio, motorized shading, and whole-home control systems Control Systems Programming Commission with programmers, button press, test, and hand off systems with bug reports in google for programmers Networking & Sub-Systems Work with IT to test enterprise networking infrastructure including managed switches, routers, and Wi-Fi 6/7 access points (UniFi and Meraki experience a strong plus) Integrate creston gear, end points, security cameras, access control, intercoms, and structured cabling sub-systems

WHAT YOU BRING

Required for All Roles Minimum 3–5 years of verifiable hands‑on field experience in low‑voltage AV installation Reliable personal vehicle with a clean driving record Your own hand tools and common low‑voltage trade tools Laptop or PC with reliable internet access Valid U.S. work authorization (passport a plus) Clean background check; drug-free Based in the greater Los Angeles California or Bozeman Montana area You're the Right Fit If You Are Detail-oriented — you take pride in clean installs, precise labeling, and complete documentation Communicative — comfortable interacting with architects, designers, GCs, and high-end clients on-site Self-directed — you manage your work on a job site without needing constant oversight Technically curious — you read documentation, engage vendor support, and pursue certifications Professional and presentable — you represent the company inside luxury private residences
