Operating Room Registered NurseTexas Surgical Center is seeking a qualified Operating Room Registered Nurse.No call, no holidays, no weekends.Texas Surgical Center is seeking a motivated Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse to join our team. Texas Surgical Center is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.Position Responsibilities:Determines data collection based on the patient's condition or needs as related to the proposed interventionsAddresses the physiological, psychological, socio-cultural and spiritual needs/responses of the patient.Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks and flexibility as job priorities change.Demonstrates a positive can do attitudeWork is accurate and completeDemonstrates knowledge and follows AORN standardsFunctions as a team memberCompletes initial and annual competencies as required.Maintains licenses and certifications.Adheres to dress code, attendance punctuality, meal break and rest periodsDemonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and conciselyAttends required department meetings.Assumes responsibility for continuing education requirementsRequired Skills:Education, Training and ExperienceGraduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent Texas Nursing LicenseCurrent BLS, ACLS and PALSExperience in surgery in an ambulatory surgical setting preferredStrong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstand principles of aseptic technique and their implementationAbility to care for patients from infancy to geriatricsKnowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errorsAbility to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when neededExcellent teaching skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsDemonstrate strong professional and ethical behaviorAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees.
