About Women's Audio Mission Women's Audio Mission is a San Francisco/Oakland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of women and gender-expansive individuals in music production and the recording arts - a field where women are critically underrepresented (less than 5%). WAM seeks to "change the face of sound" by providing hands-on training, experience, career counseling and job placement in music technology and audio production. Work Location: In-Person at WAM San Francisco offices Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Coordinator is responsible for actively supporting the fund development and cultivation activities of WAM. The successful candidate will assist with outlining prepping grant proposals, researching and soliciting in-kind donations, recording donations in WAM's databases (Salesforce), follow up and stewardship of individual donors, event support, and managing a pipeline of institutional funding requests that make up a significant portion of WAM's revenue. Excellent communication, analytical, and research skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail oriented, highly organized, and have experience using databases such as Salesforce and other sources to research and track grants and prospects. The successful applicant will be someone who is passionate about our mission of advancing women/girls/gender-expansive individuals in the fields of music, media, and technology, and excited to work with a fast-paced, growing, mission-driven non-profit organization. This is a full-time, exempt position. Primary Objectives and Responsibilities Creates rough outlines of all grant proposals - getting the questions, portal information, guidelines in a working document in collaboration with Development team Maintains development data organization, including Instrumentl, FundraiseUp, and Eventbrite integrations into WAM's Salesforce CRM Stewards all individual donations making sure they are properly thanked and engaged by creating/mailing thank you cards, inviting them to events, etc. Supports planning, logistics, and execution of fundraising events Researches and solicits in-kind donations such as food, wine and other items to support WAM's fundraising events Provides support with other administrative tasks related to development and fundraising activities as needed Qualifications Undergraduate degree, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or a related area. 1-3 years non-profit or development experience and/or related experience is required. A high level of computer literacy required, including familiarity with Salesforce, Google Workspace/G Suite, Foundation Center databases, Grant Portals, Guidestar and Microsoft Office programs. Experience with CRM integrations (Instrumentl, FundraisUp, and Eventbrite) preferred. Candidates must possess an ability to work well under pressure and the ability to seek and synthesize information and communicate in a compelling and succinct form.
