Sales Associate

Position Overview We’re looking for candidates to serve as Part‑time Sales Associates who deliver outstanding customer service while driving strong sales. Candidates should be friendly, energetic, and approachable. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently. Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations. Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales. Resolve customer concerns, turning returns into exchanges when possible while using product knowledge. Communicate needs to management, including restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback. Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives, contributing to a positive work environment. Qualifications At least 16 years old. Available to work a flexible schedule. Comfortable with or willing to learn technology, such as cash registers and hand‑held devices. Good communicator who can engage with customers. Can handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally. Use basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems. Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training. Essential Job Functions Frequently operate a cash register. Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5‑10 feet. Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock. Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor. Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers via telephone and face‑to‑face, and with managers and coworkers. Frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers, and to/from the stock room to retrieve and put away merchandise. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekend, overnight shifts, and travel as required. Must be able to identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and SOPs. Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
