Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for geriatric patients per individualized plans of care; monitor, assess, and respond to clinical changes.
- Coordinate orientation for new hires and mentor unit preceptors to support a positive learning environment.
- Educate patients, families, and staff; facilitate patient advocacy, discuss care plans, and uphold patient rights and consent processes.
- Develop and deliver clinical and classroom education using methods such as lectures, demonstrations, self-learning, and bedside teaching; maintain education records.
- Maintain accurate documentation for education, competency records, and program tracking; support ongoing staff development and performance improvement.
- Serve as a clinician and resource for nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams; help coordinate ongoing professional development and quality improvement activities.

Requirements
- Current, active Registered Nurse license in the state of California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- At least two years of recent RN experience in geriatric, acute, or similar settings
- Education: BSN preferred; MSN preferred
- Experience with Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) education or Director of Staff Development background preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced short-term acute care environment and on an evenings shift
