Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job

Overview
Registered Nurse - ICU travel assignment in Springfield, Massachusetts. Start date 09/07/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,362 to $2,413 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm-7:30 am). Setting: hospital-based Medical Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) in a 42-bed unit (21 medical, 21 IMC) with med-tele and step-down care; occasional float to adjacent med-tele/IMC areas as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult IMC/ICU patients, including those requiring respiratory support and monitoring
- Manage ventilator and airway adjuncts, high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, and tracheostomy care as appropriate
- Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms; administer and titrate cardiac medications and drips
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement care plans, document in the chart, and communicate with the multidisciplinary team
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and support staff to transition patients safely and efficiently
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and accurate medication administration; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Maintain flexibility to float to med-tele and IMC units as needed

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- 1-2 years of ICU/IMC experience preferred
- Experience with trachs, vents, high-flow NC, cardiac drips, BiPAP, and telemetry
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and to float to other units as needed
- Must reside outside a 90-mile radius from the assignment facility
- Pre-offer documentation: Massachusetts Placement Agency License and Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License copies may be required prior to offer
