Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program management. 5 years of hardware quality experience in consumer electronics, automotive or other commercial/industrial products. Experience in data analytics (e.g., coding with SQL, creating dashboards). Preferred qualifications 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience conducting hardware failure analysis, leading root cause investigations, and driving solutions to resolve complete product quality issues. Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and communicating technical goals and risks to deliver customer-centric product objectives. Experience or knowledge of quality tools (e.g., measurement systems, process capability, control charts, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, tolerance stack up analysis, ISO, and audits). You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. As a Product Quality Technical Program Manager, you will work across a broad range of technologies and disciplines to design, develop, and deliver consumer electronic devices. In this role, you will collaborate closely with operations, design, engineering, and supply chain teams across multiple hardware/software domains to bring innovative products and experiences to market. You will be responsible for anticipating, identifying, and mitigating any product quality issues that have a direct impact on customer experiences. The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $163000 - $237000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Responsibilities Establish, deliver and maintain product quality standards, metrics, dashboards for Google hardware/consumer products and services, leveraging existing tools and processes or developing new as required. Evaluate product quality during development and post launch phases of products, report product quality health, and use results to drive product and process improvements. Lead failure analysis investigation of product issues by collaborating with subject matter experts. Drive cross-functional teams and track associated work-streams with ownership. Analyze data sets and draw conclusions to help drive cross-functional decisions.
