Work Environment

This position is located onsite within our outpatient office in Ashland, Virginia. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. Our facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and resources aimed at improving patient outcomes. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with occasional rotating weekend shifts to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions and functional limitations to establish a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to their individual needs.
• Implement and monitor treatment programs based on physician referrals, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient progress to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to discuss patient goals, share insights on treatment efficacy, and adjust plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants and support personnel in delivering care and achieving desired therapeutic outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in workshops, training sessions, and professional communities to remain current with industry trends and techniques.
• Provide constructive feedback to the department director for improving productivity standards and fostering a positive working atmosphere.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.

• Proficiency in using clinical documentation systems and basic computer software.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a clinical or outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
