Job Overview

Job Opportunity – Emergency Medicine Physician – Texas

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Corpus Christi area, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM), single physician coverage, no call

Highlights:

• Multiple emergency department sites across the system including Level IV trauma centers and freestanding emergency departments
• Daily patient volumes ranging from 45-80 patients depending on site
• Advanced Practitioner support available at all locations (9-24 hours daily depending on site)
• High-acuity patient population with diverse case mix including trauma, STEMI, stroke, and OB deliveries
• One-year assignment with 2-3 shadow shifts for orientation
• EMR: Meditech system

Requirements:

• Board Certification: ABEM (American Board of Emergency Medicine) required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Current procedural competency in intubations, central line placement, ultrasound utilization, OB deliveries, dislocation reductions, chest tube placement, trauma management, and laceration repair
• Case logs required for credentialing
• Ability to manage high-acuity emergency cases independently
