Paralegal

Job Title: Paralegal Location: Pensacola, FL Type: Contract Compensation: $30 - 32/hr W-2 Work Model: Hybrid - 4 days onsite and 1 day remote Description Provide substantive legal and administrative support to the Office of General Counsel with respect to legal matters involving the organization and its subsidiary entities. Responsibilities Manage intake of legal matters and provide an initial analysis of the impact on the organization. Provide prompt, concise, and comprehensive responses to all communications. Manage high-volume, complex matters and prepare counsel in advance of calls and/or deadlines. Proactively monitor legal matters, including preparing written summaries, case status reports, and tracking case calendars. Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude that enables independent work, sound judgment, effective problem-solving, and appropriate escalation when needed. Serve as a liaison with outside counsel, internal clients, court officials, and other relevant contacts. Support workplace investigations by working with internal clients to collect, review, and summarize information and documents. Proofread and maintain legal documents, business communications, correspondence, and other written materials. Conduct factual and legal research, support coordination of fact investigations, and prepare attorneys for depositions, hearings, and trial. Draft business communications, reports, correspondence, and other written materials for organizational use. Ensure maintenance of the Office of General Counsel legal library/database, including the electronic document management system. Perform other related duties as assigned. Preference for paralegal experience versus lawyering experience.
