Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
Location: Maryland
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
Job Description: We are seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) for our Adolescent Neuropsych Unit. Ideal candidates will have experience working with a neuropsych population due to the high acuity of this unit. The RN may be required to work as the charge RN during a shift without additional pay for those hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to adolescent patients with behavioral health issues.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement care strategies.
- Work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using the Sunrise charting system.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Support verbal and non-verbal communication for patients across various developmental stages.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in behavioral health preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience with charge nurse responsibilities preferred.
- Experience with the Allscripts (Sunrise) EMR system is desirable.
