Parts Specialist

Position Summary The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service, supporting store management in accomplishing assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Compensation Pay Range: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Responsibilities Follow and promote all company customer service programs, including Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, among others. Promptly greet retail and walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in selecting merchandise. Assist managers and installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed. Complete assigned company training relevant to the position. Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering all calls according to company policy, accurately looking up parts and quoting prices, recommending premium and related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee. Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash or checks, make accurate change, and process credit card transactions. Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner, following company policies and procedures. Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner. Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receipt, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, and cleaning. Perform various daily operational tasks, such as preparing new, core, and warranty merchandise returns for shipment to the distribution center, assisting with monthly stock adjustments, inventory cycle counts, and others. Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after completing corresponding training and meeting company requirements. Perform various in-store services for customers where state and local laws allow, including installation of wipers, battery testing and charging, charging system testing, scanning vehicle trouble codes, and headlight capsule replacement. Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate; driving record must meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service. Multitasking ability, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously. Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, the Weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
