This role is critical in ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable cost accounting standards.You will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Contracts, and Program Management teams to ensure accurate cost reporting, support audits, and maintain compliant pricing structures across programs.What You'll Do:Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) in all cost-related activitiesLead the preparation of incurred cost submissions (ICS), provisional billing rate (PBR), and forward pricing rate proposals (FPRP)Analyze and validate cost structures, indirect rates, and allocation methodologiesAssist in DCAA/DCMA audits, including data requests, documentation, and responsesReview contracts and proposals for compliance with government cost/pricing requirementsMaintain and improve internal controls related to cost accounting practicesCollaborate cross-functionally with Contracts, Pricing, and Program teams to ensure alignmentIdentify compliance risks and recommend corrective actionsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+years of experience in cost accounting within a government contracting environmentStrong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and CASExperience supporting DCAA, DCMA or IPA auditsFamiliarity with incurred cost submissions and pricing proposals Experience with Disclosure Statements (CASB DS-1)Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis toolsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications: Experience in Aerospace & Defense or similar regulated industryExposure to ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle)Experience leveraging AI and automation in core job responsibilitiesCPA, CMA, or progress toward certification$100,000 - $150,000 a yearFull-time regular employee offer package:Pay within range listed + Bonus + Benefits + EquityTemporary employee offer package:Pay within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
