Emergency Management Specialist (Response)

This position is located in Region 9, Response Division. The ideal candidate for this position possesses extensive knowledge of emergency management principles, disaster response operations, and analytical techniques for situational assessment. They demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills, and can operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, including rotating shifts and emergency deployments. To qualify for this position at the GS‑12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS‑11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Performing analytical and evaluative work related to emergency management operations; Utilizing mapping or analytical tools to assess disaster impacts to produce detailed reports or visualizations for decision‑making support; Collaborating with stakeholders in high‑stress, time‑sensitive environments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
