UT is seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage the successful execution of low-voltage, electronic security, telecommunications, and related systems projects. The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned projects from turnover through completion and closeout. This position serves as the primary operational point of contact for assigned projects and coordinates field personnel, subcontractors, customers, General Contractors, Account Managers, Engineering, Procurement, and other internal departments. The Project Manager is accountable for completing projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with requirements and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Execution Manage assigned projects from internal turnover through installation, commissioning, customer acceptance, and final closeout. Review project scope, contracts, proposals, drawings, specifications, schedules, and other project documentation before mobilization. Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, manpower requirements, material requirements, and completion forecasts. Coordinate multiple active projects and field teams simultaneously. Ensure project requirements are clearly communicated to Site Supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and supporting departments. Identify project risks, schedule conflicts, scope issues, and resource constraints before they negatively affect project performance. Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the life of the project. Manage assigned projects against approved labor, material, subcontractor, travel, and overall project budgets. Monitor project costs, labor utilization, committed costs, purchasing, and projected cost-to-complete. Identify potential budget overruns early and develop corrective action plans. Review project performance against estimated labor and material requirements. Assist management with project forecasting, revenue projections, and financial reporting. Identify out-of-scope work and ensure potential change orders are documented and communicated before additional work is performed. Protect project margin while maintaining contractual and customer requirements. Field Operations & Resource Coordination Coordinate with Site Supervisors and field personnel regarding manpower, scheduling, materials, equipment, site access, and project requirements. Provide clear direction and expectations to field teams regarding project scope and priorities. Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of field resources. Monitor field productivity and project progress against established schedules and budgets. Work with Operations Management to identify manpower requirements and resolve resource conflicts. Coordinate subcontractors and verify their performance against standards and project requirements. Conduct site visits as necessary to verify progress, quality, safety, and project conditions. Customer & Contractor Communication Serve as the primary operational contact for customers, General Contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. Participate in project kickoff meetings, construction meetings, progress meetings, and customer coordination calls. Maintain professional and proactive communication regarding project status, scheduling, issues, and required decisions. Manage customer concerns and project-related issues in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate with Account Managers regarding customer expectations, scope changes, and commercial issues. Maintain strong customer relationships throughout project execution. Coordinate with Engineering to ensure drawings, submittals, system designs, and technical documentation are available when required. Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project requirements. Coordinate material requirements with Procurement and verify materials are ordered in accordance with the project schedule. Monitor long-lead equipment and material deliveries that could affect project execution. Identify material shortages or incorrect equipment before they create field delays. Coordinate equipment startup, programming, testing, commissioning, and system acceptance as required. Change Management Identify changes in scope, unforeseen conditions, customer requests, and other events that may create additional cost or schedule impacts. Document potential change-order work and communicate it through the appropriate internal process. Ensure field personnel understand that work outside the authorized project scope must be properly documented and approved. Maintain supporting documentation for labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and schedule impacts associated with changes. Quality, Safety & Closeout Ensure work is performed in accordance with standards, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, approved drawings, and project specifications. Work with field leadership to resolve quality deficiencies and punch-list items. Promote compliance with company safety policies and customer/site-specific safety requirements. Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspections, training, and customer acceptance. Ensure required project closeout documentation is completed and submitted. Coordinate as-built documentation, O&M manuals, test reports, training documentation, warranties, and other required deliverables. Drive assigned projects to complete financial and administrative closeout. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of project management, construction management, field leadership, or equivalent experience in low-voltage, electronic security, telecommunications, electrical construction, or a related industry. Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, labor management, material management, and construction coordination. Experience managing multiple projects and field teams simultaneously. Experience working with General Contractors, subcontractors, customers, and construction management teams. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents. Working knowledge of one or more of the following systems is strongly preferred: Electronic Physical Access Control Systems (EPACS) Structured Cabling / Telecommunications Intercom / Aiphone Networked low-voltage systems Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project-management/business software. Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing large, multi-site, national-account, government, or commercial construction projects. Experience with federal or government projects. Experience managing subcontractors across multiple geographic markets. Technical background in electronic security, networking, telecommunications, or low-voltage systems. Manufacturer certifications or industry certifications related to electronic security or low-voltage systems. PMP or equivalent project-management training/certification is beneficial but not required. Attention to Detail — Maintains accurate project documentation and follows established company processes. Physical & Travel Requirements Ability to travel to active project sites as required. Ability to work in active construction environments. Ability to walk project sites, climb stairs and ladders, and access equipment and work areas when necessary. Occasional overnight and extended travel may be required depending on project assignments.
