Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Days Off: Monday - Friday

Job Summary

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role is responsible for preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, producing high-quality diagnostic images, and ensuring safe and efficient departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations according to established departmental protocols.
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and provide technical assistance to the Radiologist.
Operate, adjust, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Follow all safety precautions to protect patients and staff from electrical or procedural hazards.
Capture and transfer diagnostic images to PACS and physician workstations.
Maintain adequate supplies and equipment readiness.
Assist with orientation and mentoring of new ultrasound staff as needed.
Schedule exams, answer departmental phones, and coordinate patient transportation when required.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with facility policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) .
Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures and imaging techniques.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail with strong patient care focus.

Education Requirements

Required:

Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology

OR
High School Diploma/GED with completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography training program.

Certifications & Licensure

Required:

ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
Basic Life Support (BLS)

Work Schedule

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Work Days: Saturday & Sunday
Days Off: Monday through Friday
