Customer Support Specialist

Our client is seeking a Support Specialis t to join their Asset Verification Services (AVS) Operations Team. This team plays a critical role in supporting Federal and State Government Agencies and Financial Institutions by helping ensure secure and accurate asset verification processes. Their work helps reduce fraud, accelerate eligibility determinations, and ensure public benefits reach those who need them most.

Work Schedule Evanston, IL

Monday–Friday7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for financial institutions, field offices, and government agencies participating in AVS programs.
• Respond to inquiries via phone and email while documenting interactions and resolutions.
• Provide training to financial institution personnel on system usage and procedures.
• Process registrations and maintain institution and user account information.
• Assist with transitioning participants to automated processing methods.
• Support recruitment efforts for new financial institutions when needed.
• Meet established service-level agreements and performance metrics
• .Assist with mail processing and administrative support (Evanston location).
• Contribute to additional department initiatives and projects as assigned .
• Qualifications
• High school diploma required.
• Previous customer support, administrative, operations, or related experience preferred.
• Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• .Comfortable working with PCs and web-based applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
