This position is primarily remote, allowing you to engage with patients from the comfort of your home while maintaining a flexible work-life balance. Our regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, facilitating a consistent schedule for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations to understand the unique needs of each patient, taking into account their trauma background, emotional status, and personal goals.

• Develop personalized treatment plans, adaptable to each patient’s progress, using evidence-based practices and methodologies.

• Provide individual counseling sessions, utilizing active listening to assess patient concerns, diagnosing mental and emotional disorders, and delivering appropriate interventions.

• Educate patients and their families about coping mechanisms and strategies for managing stress and trauma, enhancing their overall understanding of mental health.

• Monitor patient progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals involved in their care.

• Facilitate communication with social services and community organizations to secure additional resources for patients when needed.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education courses to remain compliant with National Certified Counselor (NCC) standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals recovering from trauma, addressing a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other emotional challenges. Many of our patients face complex situations that require tailored interventions, so empathy and an understanding of trauma-informed care will be essential. Your role will directly influence their rehabilitation, resilience, and overall mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification in New York State.

• At least three years of clinical experience, particularly working with trauma patients is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey treatment plans and engage with patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
