Description:

In this role, you'll work directly with insurance carriers to resolve outstanding claims, investigate denied or unpaid accounts, and help maximize claim recovery. Medical billing experience is preferred but not required for candidates with strong insurance claims follow-up experience.

What You'll Do:

• Follow up with commercial, government, and managed care insurance carriers on outstanding medical claims.
• Research and resolve denied, rejected, or unpaid insurance claims.
• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), remittance advice, and claim status.
• Contact insurance representatives to resolve claim discrepancies and payment issues.
• Document all account activity accurately and maintain detailed collection notes.
• Collaborate with internal staff to obtain information needed for claim resolution.
• Meet productivity and quality standards while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with medical insurance claims follow-up or insurance collections required.
• Experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of insurance guidelines, claim processing, EOBs, denials, and payment posting.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical billing software.

Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, internal pay equity, and market conditions. Please note that hiring at the top of the pay range is uncommon to allow room for future compensation growth.
