Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with 3 to 4 years of experience for a night shift position. This role requires strong labor experience and comfort with postpartum care, particularly in newborn stabilization skills. The successful candidate must also possess EPIC experience.

Education and Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• At least one year of experience in labor and delivery, nursery, and postpartum care is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are necessary.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current California Registered Nurse license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; must be completed prior to patient care and recertified every two years through the American Heart Association.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required within six months of employment and must be recertified every two years.
• ACLS and STABLE certifications are preferred; must be obtained within six months of employment and recertified every two years.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; must be completed within six months of employment and recertified every two years.

Physical Requirements

This position involves the following physical activities:

• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and standing.
• Repetitive hand motions and transferring patients, which includes lifting, pulling, or pushing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from the floor.
• Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

Employees may be exposed to blood and bodily fluids and must follow established safety protocols to mitigate this risk. Comfortable handling emergencies and participating in patient care activities is essential.
