Inpatient Clinical Staff Pharmacist - New Hartford, New York

A hospital-based role is available for a skilled Inpatient Pharmacist to support the safe and effective use of medications in a clinical setting. This Direct Hire opportunity is located in Utica, NY, with a day and afternoon shift schedule. The position plays a vital part in core pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, order verification, sterile product preparation, and inventory control, primarily within the central pharmacy.


Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense medications, ensuring correct dosing, labeling, and handling of IV and controlled substances
• Monitor patient medication profiles to identify interactions or allergies and resolve any medication-related concerns
• Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare providers
• Prepare sterile products, including IV admixtures, adhering to USP guidelines
• Maintain pharmacy compliance, manage inventory, and uphold a clean and organized workspace

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid New York State Pharmacist License is required
• Completion of PGY1 residency or substantial inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Strong understanding of clinical pharmacy practices and regulatory requirements
