Operations Supervisor

TownePlace Suites Albany Airport/ Latham- 5 Forts Ferry Road, Latham, New York 12110 The TownePlace Suites Latham is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join their team! We’re centrally located to Saratoga Race Course, RPI, SUNY Albany and Siena College and Downtown Albany is only 10 miles south. There are 114 pet friendly rooms consisting of studio, 1- and 2-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens, free Wi-Fi and smart TV’s. An indoor heated pool and fitness center are also available with safety restrictions in place. The TownePlace Suites Latham is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates. This position is responsible for assisting management in the overall success of the hotel by meeting or exceeding planned objectives in Front Desk and other departments as needed. This position will also assist with administrative duties and ensure superior service is provided to all guests and product quality standards are met. This position requires open availability (Days/Nights, Weekends and Holidays). This position will primarily oversee Front Desk. Responsibilities: * Assists in overseeing guest services; ensuring that superior service is a priority. * Assists in overseeing the facility operations including guest services, sales, housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage and human resources. * Foster a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management. * Assists in the supervision of employees in assigned departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations’ policies and applicable laws. * Supervise team members. Supervisory responsibilities include sharing in interviewing, training employees, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; planning, assigning, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Hospitality and/or customer service, food & berverage and bartending experience required. Previous Marriott experience preferred. Ability to develop an understanding of concepts, practices, pre-established guidelines and procedures used by the company in relation to guest service is necessary. Computer knowledge including intranet, Property management system, WORD, and EXCEL is strongly preferred. Must have valid drivers license, and acceptable driving history subject to company approval.
