Provider Network Management Director

Provider Network Management Director Location: This role is based in California, Nevada, or Washington State and requires associate presence at an Elevance Health office at least once per week. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from an office location. Hybrid or virtual work is permitted where space or accommodations allow. Overview The Provider Network Management Director is responsible for developing and managing the provider network through contract negotiations, relationship development, and high‑impact servicing for large health systems and affiliated physician groups. Responsibilities Lead associate resources and special projects related to provider network management. Serve as a subject‑matter expert for local contracting efforts and enterprise initiatives. Act as lead contractor for large‑scale, multi‑faceted negotiations with hospitals, physician groups, and ancillary providers. Prepare financial projections, conduct analysis, and develop customized fee schedules. Collaborate with sales teams to deliver presentations to employer groups. Serve as the communication link between providers and the company. Minimum Requirements BA/BS degree. Minimum 8 years of experience in contracting (value‑based, shared savings, ACO development), provider relations, and provider servicing. Prior contracting experience required; equivalent education and experience combinations acceptable. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years supporting hospital systems with annual spend exceeding $750 million. Experience using financial models and analysis to negotiate rates with providers. Extensive enterprise‑wide support across Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare lines of business. High‑impact provider negotiation experience. Willingness to travel to worksites and other locations as necessary.
