What You'll Do
- Reads menu, procures food from storage areas and utilizes standardized recipes to prepare food items for the meal period.
- Measures and mixes ingredients accurately. Reviews any modifications to recipes to meet quality standards with Cook 2, Sous Chef or Chef.
- Observes and tests food being cooked by properly taste testing and taking food temperatures using proper ServSafe procedures and guidelines.
- Food preparation and cooking skills include but are not limited to: measuring, washing, peeling, cutting, grilling, baking, roasting, broiling, steaming, carving and portioning foods.
- Monitors food quantities and quality during the meal period in a menu, buffet or display cooking setting.
- Maintains a cleaning schedule to assure work areas are kept clean and sanitary.
- Assures kitchens and related areas are set up and cleaned up using established cleaning guidelines and checklists.
- Practices the proper operation of equipment to ensure personal safety and avoid damage to equipment.
- Responsible to assure proper records are maintained for food production and ordering within the food management system.
- Follow Willow Valley's HACCP plan and all related food safety policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of line cook full-service experience in a nonfast food restaurant setting
- A team-oriented attitude and strong attention to detail
- A commitment to quality food and service
Schedule Options
- Part Time - 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday + every other weekend & holiday
- Or Full Time - 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday + every other weekend & holiday.
