Job Title:   Human Resources   Generalist

Reports To:   Chief People Officer

Location :   office in Bentonville, AR

Status:   Part -Time ,   Non-Exempt

Hours : 20 hours/week

Please note that this role requires  an on -site presence in our Bentonville, AR office. Interested candidates must be able to commute to and from Bentonville, AR.
 

Position Summary :

The Human Resources   Generalist   is responsible for   providing   day-to-day   HR support to   Water for Good’s   HQ office in the United State s . The Human Resources   Generalist   is responsible for   supporting   all aspects of the employment lifecycle , including talent acquisition support, payroll administration, benefit administration, policy management and compliance, and other HR administration duties .

Responsibilities & Duties   Overview:

• Manage the HQ   full cycle recruitment   process   for all open roles in the United States .

• Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth employee experience . 

• Maintain up to date personnel records in Water for Good’s HRIS system.

• Process payroll on a bi-monthly basis for employees   located   in the United States , ensuring accuracy in   timekeeping , deductions, and wage adjustments.

• Coordinate   benefit open enrollment for employees   located   in the United States , as well as   assisting   employees with benefit related questions and life events .

• Facilitate employee performance evaluations and ensure that employees are provided with clear directions.
  

• Ensure compliance with federal   and   state -specific   employment laws.

• Support supervisors to ensure HR policies and practices are properly implemented.

• Draft and distribute HR communications ,   announcements , and updates to handbook and/or organizational policies and procedures, as needed .

• With guidance from the Chief People Officer, s upport   initiatives that reinforce culture, recognition, and employee engagemen t .

• Complete HR administrative tasks, such as but not limited to,   maintaining   HR calendars, scheduling meetings,   and   preparing HR reports and metrics for the leadership team .

• Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience and Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Passion for Water for Good’s mission of transforming lives through sustainable access to safe water, as well as improved sanitation and hygiene, in places that need it most.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or a related field.

• 2+ years of Human Resources experience.

• Basic understanding of Employment Laws, and the ability to apply judgement to situations.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.  

• Experience using HRIS systems.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Legally eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship will be provided.
  

  Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Project Management software, such as Asana.

• Experience using the HRIS system, BambooHR.

Physical Qualifications

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer .  

• Must be able to   lift up   to 25 pounds at a time.
