Details Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting 13-week assignment Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM) Patient ratio of 1:2 Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Epic charting experience required Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line, central line, and PICC line management Experience with ECMO care and nurse-driven ECMO protocols Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) management Experience with Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring Experience caring for ventilated and post-cardiac surgery patients Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and ABGs Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and continuous IV sedation Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Additional Information Provide advanced cardiovascular critical care including hemodynamic and ventilator management Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols as required Dark gray scrubs required Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for the travel rate Not eligible if residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler No travel pairs or groups accepted All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level American Traveler Job ID P-729549.
