Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Tyler, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Cardiovascular Specialty Nurse Location unspecified. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients within a high-acuity unit, focusing on cardiac, pulmonary, and multisystem organ dysfunction management. The position requires adherence to clinical protocols and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Job Details Shift: Nights, 3x12 hour shifts per week. Minimum of 36 hours weekly. Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) required. Education & Experience: 2 years of ICU experience preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical practice. Qualifications: State or Compact license must be in hand at the time of submittal. Responsibilities include arterial line management, care of patients on ECMO, ventilated patient care, central line management, and interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias. Additional duties involve managing patients with multisystem organ failure, nurse-driven ECMO protocols, PICC line management, post-cardiac surgery care, pulmonary artery line monitoring, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. Skills required include experience with arterial line management, care for ventilated and ECMO patients, and infectious precautions/ PPE. Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Submittal requirements include current license and listing all approved time off at the time of submittal.
