Work Environment This role is designed to be fully remote, providing flexibility and promoting a greater work-life balance. As a mental health counselor in an outpatient office setting, you will have the opportunity to perform assessments, create treatment plans, and offer therapy services from the comfort of your own space. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough ongoing assessments of clients to ensure their mental health needs are effectively met. Maintain clear communication with supervisors, direct care staff, family members, and other stakeholders to track and discuss client progress. Provide a detailed schedule to supervisors that includes appointments, home visits, and progress observations aimed at monitoring client advancements. Coordinate home visits and in-home observations in a structured manner to collect data for chart reviews and interviews. Ensure effective implementation of treatment plans and assess their efficacy regularly. Actively participate in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings to collaborate on patient care strategies. Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly progress notes to document client developments. Conduct training sessions to certify that team members are proficient in program plan implementation and documentation practices. Provide ongoing follow-up through interviews and home visits to continue supporting clients’ evolving needs. Maintain accurate records to facilitate easy access to information for authorized personnel. Serve as a liaison with public and mental health communities to foster support networks and development goals. Assist in developing procedures for training materials to enhance program delivery and overall service quality. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will work with a diverse array of clients, including both adults and youth facing a variety of mental health challenges. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and your expertise will be crucial in tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs. Your role will significantly impact their journey toward better emotional and psychological wellness. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required. An active and unrestricted LPC license in the state of Arizona is mandatory. A minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally in a clinical setting, is essential. Preferred Experience Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma is highly preferred. A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards that govern mental health practices. Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills to connect effectively with a diverse range of clients. A demonstrated ability to collaborate seamlessly within a healthcare team environment. Proficiency in using EMR software and other relevant technologies to enhance client care.
