Adaptability is valued as assignments may span across various sites, including 22 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, and 5 high schools, depending on student needs throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Substitute Certificate (DESE) or ParaPro Exam completion with transcripts on file (must be completed before interview).
• Prior experience supporting students with diverse needs, including toileting, changing, and behavioral support.
• Willingness to float between different sites and settings as needed.
• Proven ability to collaborate respectfully with teachers, aides, therapists, and support staff.
• Comfort implementing behavior intervention and instructional strategies.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support students in K-12 SPED and general education environments.
• Assist with daily care needs and behavior management to promote student safety and dignity.
• Contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere and adapt to varying schedules:
  • Middle: 7:00 am–2:30 pm
  • High: 7:30 am–3:00 pm
  • Elementary: 8:30 am–4:00 pm or 9:00 am–4:30 pm
• Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with staff and families.
• Approach each assignment with an open mind and commitment to equitable student support.

This position runs from August 25 to May 28, with the interview process starting in late August. Ideal candidates are flexible, reliable, and eager to develop impactful relationships with students and colleagues.
