Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Day/Night Rotating Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/IMC unit setting, monitoring and managing patients with complex cardiac and progressive care needs
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Potential to float to additional units to care for the same patient population as operationally needed
• Participate in holiday rotation, working at minimum every other holiday
• Complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety evaluations, with an acceptable passing score

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Stepdown/IMC specialty; travel experience acceptable
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State license in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• No open background case findings or license hits; all required certifications must be active with nothing pending

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred
• 18 months of Stepdown experience obtained within a single facility location preferred
