The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with GAAP and fair value standards, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives such as acquisitions, dispositions, and capital restructures. Key duties include analyzing financial statements, engaging with external auditors and tax professionals, and preparing financial materials for internal and investor communications. The role also involves managing and overseeing outsourced accounting staff, driving continuous improvement in accounting processes, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within the accounting team. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, a CPA certification, and at least 8 years of experience in real estate accounting. Extensive knowledge of GAAP and fair value reporting standards is essential, as is a proven track record in managing complex real estate investment structures and agreements.
