Financial ControllerA private equity-backed manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join its growing finance leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a high-impact opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in building strong financial controls, improving processes, and supporting strategic growth across a multi-entity organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the review and approval of vendor invoices, expense reports, payroll, and payment runsServe as the primary control point for ACH, wire, and check disbursementsProtect the business from payment fraud through strong vendor onboarding and master data governanceDesign, document, and continuously improve finance processes across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, payroll oversight, and month-end closeOwn and strengthen the internal control framework, including approval matrices, segregation of duties, and payment controlsOversee month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting deliverablesDevelop meaningful financial reports and KPIs for executive leadershipSupport budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, external audits, tax filings, and lender reportingMentor and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvementQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including Controller-level experience within a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controlsProven experience reviewing and approving payments, payroll, and expenditures within a multi-entity or mid-sized organizationDemonstrated success improving finance processes and implementing scalable controlsExperience with ERP systems, treasury management platforms, ACH controls, and positive pay systemsExperience in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment is highly desirableExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsMust reside within commuting distance of Kearny/Totowa, NJ or Ogden, UT and possess permanent U.S. work authorizationA competitive salary up to $170k with benefits, PTO, 401k, and much more!!Apply today if you're looking for an exciting opportunity where you can make an impact, apply today!
