Collections Specialist

Clerk, Collections We are seeking a Collections Specialist with experience in industrial/manufacturing collections. The role involves managing a high-volume portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely payments, resolving billing issues, and handling customer communication in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Manage up to 1500 accounts and monitor receivables Conduct collection calls and follow-ups on overdue accounts Resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues Process payments, refunds, and customer remittances Collaborate with sales and management to resolve account issues Prepare collection reports and track account performance Required Skills 35+ years of high-volume collections experience (500+ accounts) Experience in industrial/manufacturing collections only Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize workload Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word) and billing systems High school diploma required Important Notes Candidates must have stable work history (no frequent job changes or gaps) Local candidates only (commute within Long Island area preferred) Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $30.00-$33.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
