Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, GI bleeds, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end-of-life care, and wound management. The nurse will be responsible for managing 20 beds within the unit. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:5, and sometimes may extend to 1:6. Travelers may be requested to float to other facilities as needed. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred. First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
