Ashlar Homes is looking for a sharp, analytical, tech-savvy professional to join our growing team as a Purchasing Coordinator & Field Support.

What You'll Do

Purchasing & Analytical Support

• Prepare, review, and manage purchase orders to support residential construction operations.
• Analyze pricing, costs, and purchasing data to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, budgets, and project information.
• Use Google Sheets and construction management software to organize data, track costs, and support purchasing decisions.
• Investigate discrepancies and work independently to find practical solutions.

Field Support & Relationship Building

• Serve as a dependable resource for our construction field teams, helping resolve questions about purchasing, materials, and vendors.
• Build positive working relationships with suppliers, trade partners, and internal teams.
• Communicate clearly, follow through on commitments, and help keep construction projects moving forward.
• Approach challenges with a customer-service mindset, understanding that supporting our field teams is a key part of our success.

Technology & Process Improvement

• Embrace new technology, systems, and evolving business processes.
• Look for smarter, more efficient ways to improve accuracy, communication, and workflows.
• Take initiative to identify issues, ask questions, and recommend solutions.
• Adapt to changing priorities and navigate situations where the answer isn't always immediately clear.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
• At least two years of professional experience following college preferred.
• Solid spreadsheet skills, including the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data.
• Experience in banking, financial services, purchasing, procurement, or a buyer-related role is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable learning and working across multiple software platforms.
• Residential construction experience is a plus, but not required. We're willing to train the right person!
