Interim Operations Manager – Sterile ProcessingSchedule8-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, depending on current rotation cycle. Must be able to work both shifts.Assignment DetailsGuaranteed Hours: 40 Contract Weeks: 13RequirementsBachelor's degree required or active matriculation into a bachelor's program to be completed within 24 months of hire.CRCST or CSPDT certification required; CHL certification preferred.A minimum of five years of experience in Sterile Processing or a combination of Operating Room and Sterile Processing operations.At least two years of leadership experience in healthcare operations.Strong knowledge of sterilization, infection prevention, regulatory standards, workflow management, and quality improvement.Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and team development skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare operational systems.ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day Central Processing operations, ensuring 24/7 service readiness and support for surgical and patient care areas.Oversee instrument reprocessing, sterilization workflows, inventory availability, and throughput optimization.Manage, coach, develop, and evaluate supervisors and staff, including performance management and scheduling.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including Joint Commission, AAMI, AORN, CDC, and OSHA.Serve as a subject matter expert in decontamination, sterilization, and high-level disinfection practices.Monitor quality, safety, and regulatory performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Compliance / NotesThis position involves leadership call responsibilities, requiring availability after hours and conducting site visits on weekends.
