We deliver professional deicing/anti-icing to airline customers and provide environmental services to airports. IDS is built for winter operations—and you’ll be part of the team that keeps aircraft departures on schedule.

What the role covers

• Plan and execute local maintenance schedules to ensure dependability of the fleet.
• Perform the full scope of skilled mechanical service using recognized procedures.
• Leverage technical documentation (manuals, IPCs, schematics, blueprints) to complete assignments.
• Troubleshoot and close out electrical/hydraulic faults within allotted timeframes.
• Log accurate records; complete scheduled and ad‑hoc inspections via our maintenance software.

Fleet you’ll support

• Heavy-duty deicer trucks
• GRV (Glycol Recovery Vehicle) trucks
• Wastewater trucks
• Light-duty support vehicles
• Ground service equipment (GSE)

Schedule

• May–Sept: 4x10s, Mon–Thu, 0500–1530.
• Oct–Apr: Rotating shifts and days off per operational demand.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 18.
• Meets federal criteria to obtain an airport badge.
• Clear spoken/heard communication; able to read and follow English instructions.
• Basic–intermediate computer literacy.
• Own tools: sockets/wrenches up to 1" and up to 1/2" drive; toolbox.
• Strong time management; able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of fluid types and diesel-powered machinery, tools, repair, and maintenance practices.
• Handle confidential information appropriately; collaborative team player with tact for all levels and clients.
• Comfort with standard/specialty tools and diagnostic gear (photo tachometer, diagnostic tools/hardware, scanners, meters).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel TDY to other IDS stations when needed.

Work conditions

• Physically demanding setting with extended standing; high noise at times; safe yet occasionally unpleasant odors; variable temperature/humidity ; operations around heavy moving equipment.

Physical demands

• Hands-on tool use; reaching with hands/arms; effective speech and hearing.
• Long periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
