Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BCLS, NIH required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: EPIC experience required Experience with Medical, Surgical, and Oncology patients required Ability to access and manage ports Experience with administration of chemotherapy Ability to interpret dysrhythmias Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE Experience monitoring chemotherapy patients Ability to start and maintain IVs Experience with telemetry oncology Knowledge of rapid response and code teams Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical oncology. The role requires working night shifts. The nurse will care for medical, surgical, and oncology patients. Patient ratios are 1:5-6. Weekend coverage is required, with a minimum of 2 shifts every other weekend. The unit has specific requirements including certifications and training. Candidates must be willing to float within the service line. No on-call duty is expected. Nurses new to the specialty are accepted. The facility provides comprehensive support for staff. Patient demographics include adults with a daily census of approximately 19.
