Role Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments for patients from various age groups, utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment strategies addressing immediate needs while setting the stage for long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing improvements.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions that focus on communication, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing deficits.
• Engage and collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and families to cultivate integrated care strategies.
• Offer guidance and educational resources to patients and families to continue progress in their everyday lives.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the treatment process.
• Uphold meticulous documentation that meets all regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through continuous education and interactive peer discussions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA has not yet been attained.

Licenses & Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate to be obtained within the first month of employment.
